This is a very popular question. There is a lot of work that can be done on-site to make sure that your web site is well designed and search-engine friendly but even once that’s done the real work begins.

1. Produce amazing content on your web site

Your web site needs to constantly be updated with news and discussions. The easiest way to do this is to create a blog and update it regularly, once or twice a week at a minimum. You don’t need to be a gifted writer to do this. Remember that videos and images are still content.

We’ve been integrating WordPress blogs into our client’s web sites for years. In fact, this blog you’re reading now is driven by WordPress. Contact us to find out how we can integrate one in your site.

2. Use Social media

Facebook, LinkedIn, Google + & Twitter do produce results and drive traffic if used effectively.

3. Inbound links

The more inbound links you have – other web sites linking to your site, then the more likely you will be to achieve high search engine rankings. Try to follow the guidelines below when you set up your links:

  • Use keywords or keyphrases in your links
  • Obtain links from other web sites with relevant content
  • Obtain links from a High Authority web site with a strong GooglePR ranking

All of this requires time, effort and persistence. The good news is the benefits are cumulative and all these hours spent on marketing your site will pay off.
